Jhonas Enroth (G), Team Sweden

With a spectacular performance between the posts Enroth was one of the key factors for the Swedish national team to win the 2013 World Championship in their own country. In 7 World Cup games he only allowed 8 goals for a goals against average of just 1,15 and an excellent 95,63 save percentage. He was voted into the WC All-Star Team and voted best goalie of the tournament.

Roman Josi (D), Team Switzerland

The NHL defender Josi was the leader of the Swiss surprise team that won a silver medal in the 2013 World Championship. He played in all 10 games for his team and added 4 goals and 5 assists and had a +2 record. He was voted into the WC All-Star Team and voted best defender of the tournament.

Petri Kontiola (C), Team Finland + Traktor Chelyabinsk, KHL

With his KHL team Traktor Chelyabinsk Kontiola reached the Gagarin Cup finals and he himself became playoff topscorer. His "run" in April/May was not over yet though as he went on to become topscorer of the 2013 World Championship with 16 points - each 8 goals and assists - in 10 games and had a brilliant +6 record. He led the Fins to a good 4th place and he was voted into the WC All-Star Team and voted best forward of the tournament.

Marek Kvapil (RW), Dynamo Moscow, KHL

Our only candidate who didn't participate in the 2013 World Championship, Marek Kvapil, was one of the leaders of Dynamo Moscow who won the 2013 Gagarin Cup. In a team without superstars that had a great team spirit, he added 15 scorer points in 21 playoff games.

Rob Zepp (G), Team Germany + Eisbären Berlin, DEL

With DEL team Eisbären Berlin he won the 2013 DEL title and Rob Zepp especially convinced in the playoff finals against Kölner Haie. After struggling against Slovakia at the 2013 World Championship, Zepp went on to become the best goalie of the tournament who was under contract in a European league and the 4th best overall. During the matches against Austria and Latvia (both were won 2-0 by the Germans) he wrote history by becoming the first German goalie in 77 years to have two consecutive shuouts at a World Championship. In 5 games he had a goal against average of 1,79 and a 94,12 save percentage.
