Quebec Remparts to the 2014 Junior Club World Cup

The fourth edition of the Junior Club World Cup will be played in Ufa August 22-30. Quebec Remparts represents Canada. The host Tolpar Ufa and the MHL winner Spartak Moscow will represent Russia. There will also be clubs from USA (USHL), Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Austria, Latvia and Belarus.


The fourth Junior Club World Cup will be played in Ufa after three years in Omsk. Red Army Moscow, Sudbury Wolves and Omsk Hawks have won the first three tournaments. In 2014 there will be a new winner as none of the three previous winners participate.

"From Finland the team Espoo Blues will come, from Sweden Malmö Redhawks. Canada will be represented by the Quebec Remparts", said the Managing Director of the Youth Hockey League (MHL) Dmitri Yefimov to R-Sport.

"The winner of the American League USHL, Indiana ice, will not come. The league asked for a few days to decide team".

The tournament will also have six teams from MHL. Probably Red Bull (Austria), Chomutov (Czech Republic), HK Riga (Latvia), Dynamo Shinnik (Belarus), Tolpar Ufa (Russia) and Spartak Moscow (Russia).
