Bern's upset over the Lions goes on, Ambrì-Piotta will remain in the NLA

The third night of the National League A play-offs has ended, and it's been full of talking points. Here they are.

Bern goes on in its incredible upset over regular season winners ZSC Lions: the eight-placed team has won its third game in a row after a 4-3 victory during the overtime. The Bears have conquered the Hallenstadion thanks to two wonderful goals by Andrew Ebbett. SC Bern is now seriously challenging the chances of Zürich goiing to the semi-finals, despite the latter having been highly anticipated as final winners of the title.

Davos won as well, with a 3-1 victory over a tired Kloten team, as well as Servette, which literally demolished Fribourg 4-1. Both teams could easily qualify to the semis already next Thursday, as well as a magnificent Lugano side: the 5-2 triumph over Zug was helped by an extraordinary Elvis Merzlikins, while the goals were scored by Vauclair, Bertaggia, Martensson, Furrer and Sannitz for the Bianconeri and by Bouchard and Blaser for the Bulls, after that many fans of the latter left the arena in anger before the end of the match.

Ambrì-Piotta won in Langnau after a last-minute score by Gautschi, after that a brilliant comeback by the Tigers had really threatened the northern Ticino side (who had a 3-1 advantage). Still, the Biancoblù earned a crucial win which enables them to "go on holiday" despite three remaining games before the end of the play-out round. Lausanne is almost safe as well, with a 2-0 victory against Bienne thanks to Louhivaara and Leblanc
