Denmark took their momentum from defeating their Finnish rivals on Wednesday by beating fellow Scandinavian nation Norway 3-0 on Friday at the 2018 World Hockey Championships.

It took until the final minute of the first period, but Denmark was able to break the ice to give themselves a lead into the opening intermission. At 19:13 on the power play, Philip Larsen gave up on taking a shot of his own to instead make a pass out to Nicklas Jensen, who was hanging back at the point on the power play. Jensen, a former NHLer with the Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers, would send the disk past Henrik Haukeland with a nice shot, putting the Danes ahead by one after a period of play.

At 6:17 on the power play, the Danes scored a nearly identical goal. Once again, Larsen set up Jensen just inside the goal line, with Jensen sending a quick slap shot past Haukeland to make it 2-0, a lead that Norway was going to end up having problems with.

Denmark's power play was on fire on Friday, and they'd find a way to score their third power play goal in four attempts at 13:58. Frederik Storm would get the deed done after taking Mikael Boedker's pass in front, beating Haukeland to score the 3-0 goal, a lead they'd take to the final buzzer.

Denmark will look to help solidify their spot in the top four of Group B when they battle South Korea on Sunday at 16:15 local time. Norway will need to turn their tournament around sooner than later, but their 16:15 contest against the United States could be rather tough.
