Cardiff Devils for CHL next season

EIHL bosses have agreed the final part of the jigsaw to formally close off the 2019/20 season.

As stated before there are to be no official league champions of the UK due to the premature closure of the season. However,  It was agreed that the Cardiff Devils, as the team in first place and with the highest winning percentage of 70% when the league’s remaining games were cancelled, are to be allocated the EIHL's Champions Hockey League place.

Realistically, five teams were still able to win the league, but they felt that awarding a league trophy on the basis of probabilities just was not the correct thing to do.

The continental cup place will go to Challenge Cup winners Sheffield Steelers.
