Brasov win Romanian League
After a difficult last season, Wolves captured the second title of champion after a thrilling final series
"We are champions of Romania, and the title arrived in Miercurea Ciuc, home of our fiercest rival, it's really a big satisfaction for me - said Crona Brasov President Emilian Cernica - although it was really a great suffering after this marathon [of 80 minutes before the shootouts]. Goalie Zoltan Toke was sensational, so I think we deserve the title. From now on, we rest a bit to enjoy this title and then, after the World Championship, we begin to prepare next season. From my point of view, the bar will be raised higher than the season that I imagined"
After dominating the last decade of domestic hockey, Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc finish another season without titles at senio level, consoling with the yet another title in U20 and U18 Leagues
Czech Vaclav Novak, 42, of Progym Gheorgheni, finished fourth after the bronze series lost against Dunarea, was the League Top Scorer.
Sportul Studentesc Bucharest finished another season without a victory
