Loui Eriksson (picture) of Vancouver Canucks was the brightest shining star on the ice in Stockholm today. He scored twice, including the game-winner, and added an assist to the late empty-netter. His teammate Elias Pettersson and Anton Lander also had 3-point games with three assists each. Joakim Nygård, Marcus Krüger, Oskar Lindblom and Mario Kempe also scored for the Swedes. Russia's goals were scored by Alexander Yelesin, Sergei Andronov, Mikhael Grigorenko and the top scorer from NHL Nikita Kucherov.

Kucherov's goal came with just 34 seconds to go when Sweden had a 6-3 lead and the game already was lost. There were many NHL'ers on the ice in this game. Fourteen for Team Sweden and nine for Team Russia.

The game was the opening game of Carlson Hockey Games, the last of the four Euro Hockey Tour tournaments between Sweden, Russia, Finland and Czech Republic. The tournament will continue tomorrow in Brno with the game Czech Republic-Finland.
