At its first ever partecipation, Croatian team finished with a perfect record the Continental Cup Group A

In the final Group A match of the Continental Cup in Sofia, Sisak secured their historic first qualification for the second round with an easy win against hosts NSA Sofia, too weak to bother the solid Croatian team.

Canadian Sean Ramsay, Sisak's best player, scored the first two goals of the match, with a close-range shot and a precise diagonal, before Luka Jarcov's 3-0 with a long-range shot. After 10 minutes Svetlin Stoev shorthanded was able to beat goalkeeper Franko Oreskovic, today the starter goalie instead of the excellent American David Anderson. But Sisak immediately put back 3 goals distance with a beautiful personal action by Renato Platuzic shorthanded
The second period is played at a slow pace, with Sisak controlling the game. The NSA uses a power play to score the second goal with Erik Blinov, but is immediately thrown back by Ramsey's third goal, on powerplay too. It is a mess by the NSA defense that gives the Croatians a sixth goal with Platuzic serving an easy assist to Luka Jarcov. In the same power play situation, at the end of a confused action, comes the third goal of the hosts again with Erik Blinov. After a nice save by Yuri Groshev on Jarcov, it is Dominik Canic who scores the seventh goal in powerplay.
The last period opens with a power play not used by Sisak, punished by two goals in 7 seconds by the NSA, scored by Blinov and Stoev. Tomislav Lulic takes care of restoring the distance 40 seconds later. Emil Zaleev scored the sixth Bulgarian goal on the counterattack in the 52nd minute. Before the end there is still time for Sisak's ninth goal, scored after an action behind the cage by Dobric.
The Sisak conquers the qualification for the second round on its first ever participation and will now fly to Angers, France to try to impress again
