Kazakh team complete a perfect record winning all the games of the competition. The silver plate goes to Kazakhstan for the second time in the history

There is a special relationship between Great Britain and Kazakhstan: in 2019 Arlan Kokshetau won the Continental Cup, the first Kazakh club to win an international trophy, in Belfast. Today in Cardiff it is Nomad Astana who brings the silver plate back to the steppe, concluding the tournament undefeated, winning all the matches played, both in the semi-finals and in the Superfinals.
A deserved success for the young Kazakh team, Barys Astana's farm team, which demonstrated a clear superiority on the ice.

Already certain of victory, thanks to Katowice's defeat against Cardiff the day before, Nomad took to the ice without taking their foot off the accelerator and, after two periods rather lacking in emotion, with the exception of goals from Ryan Cook and Maxim Musorov in the central period, in the last 20 minutes the Kazakhs also resolved the last practice with two power play goals scored by Oleg Boiko, one of the best players seen in Cardiff, and Artur Gatiyatov. A goal, which also seemed valid in the replay, was instead disallowed by Stanislav Alexandrov

At the final siren the celebration of coach Georgi Vereshagin's boys explodes, but also the beautiful tribute of the many Katowice fans for their favorites.
So, while Barys Astana languishes at the bottom of the KHL table, his boys are building a promising future for Kazakh hockey
