Lokomotiv press officer confirms that the entire team was on the plane. Two persons can have survived the crash, all other players and staff on board the plane are dead.

 
 
 
 
The airplane of KHL club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl  has crashed. The plane was flying to Minsk, carrying the Lokomotiv team to their first game of the 2011-12 KHL season.  According to information published by TASS news agency, the airplane was unable to gain altitude and collided with an antenna. According to preliminary data, there were 45 people on board. There are reports that two have survived: one of the survivors was player Alexander Galimov. Sources have said that Galimov passed away in hospital, but that has not yet been confirmed.

Lokomotiv Yaroslvl press officer Vladimir Mankov confirmed that all the members of the team were on board the plane that crashed today at 16:00.

"The plane with our team had to take off at about four o’clock in the afternoon. At first we did not want to believe what happened. But now there is no hope. The team is lost. I heard that two people are in critical condition. But who are they I do not know. It was the first match of the season, so all players including injured ones were going to Minsk. They even took four guys from the youth team with them."
