Game recap

Coventry Blaze made it two road wins in a row, climbing up to seventh thanks to a victory in Manchester by the odd goal in seven.

Mathieu Gagnon gave the hosts a lead at 8:48 which they held into the first intermission, but the Blaze turned things around in the middle period.

David Broll equalised thanks to a Storm defensive mixup at 31:57, and although Adam Hughesman was able to fire home at the far post at 33:48 to put the Storm back ahead their new lead didn't last long. 62 seconds later Janne Laakkonen levelled the game, and at 36:37 Charlie Corcoran put the visitors into the lead for the first time on the night.

Corcoran converted well from Evan Bloodoff's feed on a breakaway at 49:22 to put the Blaze to ahead, but with nine seconds left Cameron Critchlow scored from close range to bring the deficit back to within one. The Blaze, who'd missed a few chances on the empty net, weren't however made to rue those as they saw out the one-goal win.
